Our Story
Blessed Teresa (BTC) School of Sacred Heart Parish represents a new era in Catholic Education in North St. Louis County. We are a welcoming and nurturing environment that gives our students their roots in academics, faith, and service. We are a Christ-centered community that reflects our external community, which is full of diversity and that shares in the values and teachings of the Catholic Church.
At BTC School, we offer every student the chance to realize their full potential as sons and daughters created in God’s image. Our school community is dedicated to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—by fostering spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth. Developing these talents, we help each child strive to reach their highest potential. Student life at BTC is dynamic and enjoyable, designed to enhance students' unique skills and abilities. Through activities both in and outside the classroom, we engage their curiosity, spark creativity, and prepare them for the challenges of high school, meeting the needs of all learning levels and abilities.
This year, our #iGiveCatholic appeal for Blessed Teresa School is to revamp our middle playground lot, providing a safe, creative, and active place for our students to explore, experience, and exercise!
Like many students, recess is their favorite part of the day. But did you know that recess is essential to a child’s education and growth? It helps students in many ways, such as physical activity, social and emotional development, academic performance, brain function, and independent learning.
Your gift will help support our much-needed repair by repaving our middle playground lot and creating fun painted games to complement our already existing playground equipment. With the addition of a pickleball court, this newly attractive area will become a great place that even our school families can enjoy.
BTC School is a private Catholic school from PreK through 8th grade located in the heart of Ferguson, MO. It has over 100 years of history of education and serving the community. For decades, many families have continued to seek BTC School for an accessible, quality, faith-based Catholic education. This year, we welcomed 53 new students from over 40 new families.
Our mission is to imitate Jesus, to provide a strong spiritual foundation, to provide a quality education, and to serve our community.
Our vision is to keep our school at the forefront of high-quality Catholic education and ensure the private education we provide remains accessible to our community.
